Main-timeline clip jumps continue across scenes. Editor clip jumps stay inside the current scene; Ctrl, Shift, or Ctrl+Shift with an arrow jumps scenes and keeps the editor open. Focused cut and keyframe controls keep their arrow-key adjustments.

Section boundaries

Drag the thicker colored divider on the main Visual timeline

Drag
Roll · Adjust both sides; keep total runtime. An open chain moves pictures only; a linked chain includes audio.
Ctrl + drag
Ripple Left · With audio linked, change the left end; shift later sections
Shift + drag
Ripple Right · With audio linked, change the right beginning; leave the left section intact
Esc
Cancel the current drag
Ctrl + Z
Undo a section trim on the main Visual timeline

Ripple trims change total runtime. Media and keyframes keep their timing; trimmed material stays recoverable. Switch modes while dragging; Shift takes priority if Ctrl is also held.
